I'm very very fussy about who I approach. I hardly ever approach
locals because somehow, they have this nasty habit of intruding
your privacy, which I resent cause I consider it a 'security
breach', esp since I live alone.

However, after sussing out the person and having good vibes about
him/her, or when in the US, I'm different.
The less intrusive a stranger is, the friendlier I become!

The aunties in the neighbourhood are scary!! You don't even know
them, you smile at them when they step into the lift with you, then
they turn around and start asking, "Do you live here? Which floor?
Which apartment?" I'm like
!!!
Sometimes, I smile when saying coldly, "I don't even know you, why
should I tell you?" and then I confuse them by pressing the button
for the floor I do not live on (because more often than not,
they'll be peeking to see if you'll turn left or right after
exiting the lift!
). They get confused
and don't know how to respond... a cold remark dished out with a
nice smile.
